Neue Open-Access-Publikationsmöglichkeiten durch Transformationsverträge
Mit Beginn 2024 können Mitglieder der UG auch bei folgenden Verlagen durch neu abgeschlossene Transformationsverträge ohne zusätzliche Kosten Open Access publizieren:
Elsevier, John Benjamins, Rockefeller University Press, Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), Taylor & Francis

Förderhöchstgrenze von 2.000 € auch bei DEAL OA Gold Journals
Mit der Teilnahme an den neuen drei DEAL-Verträgen mit Elsevier, Springer Nature und Wiley werden auch die Förderbedingungen für Publikationskosten in reinen Open Access Gold Journals angeglichen. Damit greift auch hier das Förderlimit von 2.000 € (inkl. MwSt.) für Artikel in reinen Open Access Gold Journals, wie bisher schon für alle anderen Verlage auch. Hiervon abweichend gilt für Mitglieder der Universitätsmedizin Greifswald auch künftig die bisherige Förderhöchstgrenze von 985 € (inkl. MwSt.). Eine Kofinanzierung einer höheren APC ist weiterhin möglich. Das Open-Access-Publizieren in den hybriden Journals wird dagegen voll über die DEAL-Transformationsverträge abgedeckt.
Zusätzlich möchten wir noch einmal darauf hinweisen, dass sämtliche Open-Access-Publikationskostenübernahmen nur für Artikel gelten, bei denen Sie submitting corresponding author sind und als Affiliation an erster Stelle die Universität Greifwald bzw. Universitätsmedizin Greifswald angegeben ist sowie die dem Artikel zugrunde liegende Forschung an der Universität Greifswald bzw. der Universitätsmedizin Greifswald erbracht worden ist.

New Open Access Publishing Opportunities through Transformation Agreements
From the beginning of 2024, members of the UG will also be able to publish Open Access with the following publishers at no additional cost thanks to newly concluded transformation agreements:
Elsevier, John Benjamins, Rockefeller University Press, Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), Taylor & Francis

Funding Limit of €2,000 also for DEAL Open Access Gold Journals
With the participation in the new three DEAL agreements with Elsevier, Springer Nature and Wiley, the funding conditions for publication costs in pure Open Access Gold journals will also be harmonised. This means that the funding limit of €2,000 (incl. VAT) for articles in pure Open Access Gold journals will also apply here, as it already does for all other publishers. In deviation from this, the previous maximum funding limit of €985 (incl. VAT) will continue to apply for members of Greifswald University Medicine. Co-financing of a higher APC is still possible. Open Access publishing in hybrid journals, on the other hand, is still fully covered by the DEAL transformation agreements.
In addition, we would like to point out that all Open Access publication costs are only covered for articles for which you are the submitting corresponding author and the University of Greifswald or University Medicine Greifswald is listed as the first affiliation and the research on which the article is based was carried out at the University of Greifswald or University Medicine Greifswald.
