Reservations for Books Currently on Loan

Media that is currently on loan can be reserved via OPAC or Discovery System.

Follow these steps to make reservations:

1. Click on the button Reserve.
2. The date of return and number of existing reservations (maximum of 3) will be displayed.
3. Enter your library card number and your password and click on the button Submit.
4. The following information will be displayed: Reservation saved for borrower XXX and volume YYY.

An overview of all the titles you have already reserved is displayed in the user account under the tab Reservations.
You will receive an automatic notification via email/by post that your order has been returned. Email notifications for reservations are free, the fee for postal notifications amounts to € 2.00 per medium (Gebührenordnung  (fee regulations)).

The reserved media will be available for pickup for 10 working days from the indicated self-service pick up area or the respective service desk.

Please note:
If several copies of one title are displayed as on loan in the catalogues, it is possible to reserve the title, but not a specific copy. The title reservations guarantee that the next available copy will be reserved. Title reservations cannot be made by the users, instead they can only be made by staff members at the service desks.
