Electronic Journals Library (EZB)

The Electronic Journals Library is a service provided for effective use of academic full-text journals on the internet.

To the Electronic Journals Library

The University Library Regensburg is responsible for the technical support and development of the Electronic Journals Library.

The Electronic Journals Library is now provided as a routine user service at 626 libraries and research institutions.

The titles are gathered jointly and the data is managed cooperatively in a central database. A suitable selection of electronic journals is tailored to fit the local needs of every participating institution.Every participating institution can administer its own licensed journals and integrate its own user information. Both subscribed full-text journals and freely available e-journals can be provided on one interface.

The university network is separated from the internet by a central firewall system. Access to internal resources, including the University Library´s licensed databases and electronic journals, is possible from outside of the university network via VPN. The authentication service Shibboleth also grants access to a growing number of electronic offers.
