Loan and Order

All media in the open stacks area with no specific markings can be borrowed. Media loans are processed at the Service Desk of the respective library or by the self-service machines. Media from the closed stacks must be ordered prior to use and can be picked up approx. 24 hrs after order. Orders and reserved media will be available in the self-service pick up areas.

During the service hours library users can go to the service desks on the ground floor of the Central University Library or the Departmental Library to borrow or return media. During the entire opening hours self-service machines, pick-up areas and drop-off machines can be used.

The Service Desk at the Central University Library should be informed of any loss of books and media.

If a book that has not been taken out, according to the catalogue, cannot be found at its alleged location, please contact a member of the service staff. Attemps will be made to find the book. If this is not successful, a missing entry will be made, making it possible to use interlibrary loans. If desired, an email can be sent to report the result of the search request.
