Open Access

The University of Greifswald is committed to free access to scientific knowledge and encourages open access publishing by offering information, funding as well as publishing opportunities. With a resolution by the rectorate to promote open access as well as signing on to the Berlin Declaration the University of Greifswald has been committed to the free access to scientific knowledge since 2016. Members of the University of Greifswald have access to a DFG-funded open access publication fund to finance publication fees in open access journals.
