National Licenses for Databases and Journal Archives

The DFG has financed the purchase of national licenses since 2004 in order to improve the sustainable provision of electronic specialized information at German universities, research institutes and academic libraries.

The project National Licenses integrates digital media to the programme that supplies literature on a supra-regional scale.

The aim is to provide academics, students and members of the general public, who are interested in science, with free access to databases, digital text collections and e-journals.
