Loan Periods / Renewals

The loan period for standard loans of media held by University Library Greifswald is 30 days.

Media can be renewed a maximum of 5 times, if the book has not been reserved and the loan period has not already come to an end.

You can renew books by yourself, via the internet:

• click on "User account" in the catalogue
• after you have entered user number and password, click on the button "Loans"
• select the title you would like to renew
• click the button "Renew"

After that you will see a list of the renewed loans.

If you still require the book after five renewals, you will need to take it to a Service Desk to restart the procedure

Interlibrary loans cannot be renewed.


There are special conditions for members of academic staff at the University of Greifswald.
