Subscribers of the desktop version receive a free EndNote online account for two years, which they can use to extend the programme functions to include the option of collaboration in groups, for example, and access to the collected data from any location - both versions can be synchronised. Once the online account has been set up, the programme can also be used via an iPad app. Additional functions are available to members of the University of Greifswald via a campus-wide licence for the database "Web of Knowledge".
