To be included with each application:

  • A transparent breakdown of costs, clearly itemizing the Open Access costs
  • A summary or synopsis of the publication (usually 1–2 pages)

Additionally for dissertations:

  • Proof of the final grade

Additionally for anthologies:

  • An overview of the contributions as well as information about the publication context and the selection of contributions

You can submit an application as soon as you have entered into negotiations with the publisher.

The decision on funding is made by the University Library together with the Open Access steering group of the University of Greifswald on the basis of the funding criteria in the order of receipt. Preference is given to researchers in the qualification stages, those who show particular commitment to the faculty, and alternative Open Access publication models (instead of BPC).

After your application has been reviewed, you will usually receive a response within four weeks.
