Discovery system
Our discovery system provides a modern research tool as an alternative to our online catalogue. The discovery system works with search engine technology and can be used flexibly on various end devices. In addition to the possibility of searching in the original language, refining the search using facets or, for example, correcting input errors, the system offers many other advantages.
OPAC
The OPAC of the University Library lists the media holdings of the Central University Library, the Old University Library, the Departmental Library, the Library Archive Am Schießwall and the external sites.
Individual premiums from books and journals are not listed.
Proof
Monographs from the publication years 1851-1989 are not yet listed in full in the OPAC and may have to be researched in the electronic card catalogue.
Electronic card catalogue
The electronic card catalogue displays the catalogue cards of the alphabetically arranged card catalogues of the Central Library on the screen. It can be searched via the Internet. It is possible to search in 3 different time periods for literature up to 1989 that is not yet listed in the OPAC.

Real catalogue
The Realkatalogue is a systematic catalogue of the University Library's collection, which was kept in book form until 1959. The original catalogue is now housed in the Old University Library in Rubenowstraße. The Realkatalogue is also freely accessible on the Internet in digitalised form.
