Biological Station Hiddensee

The Biological Station Hiddensee was founded in 1968 as a facility of the Biology Department of the University of Greifswald. It continues the work of the "Biological Research Institute Hiddensee" which is one of the oldest ecological research institutions in Germany, dating back to 1930. The University Library maintains a subject library on the island of Hiddensee. The facility can be used following prior arrangement.
